# Aerial Survey > Aerial survey of land and sites across Devon and the South West. Orthomosaic, surface model, contours, point cloud and volumes, with the limits set out plainly. Someone responsible for an area of ground rather than a single building: a farm or estate manager, a land agent, a solar or minerals developer, a groundworks contractor, or the consultant working for one of them. Aerial survey for farms, estates, solar sites, quarries and development land. A planned flight over the area, and the orthomosaic, surface model, contours, point cloud or volumes you asked for out the other side. ## Services - [Aerial site mapping](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/services/aerial-site-mapping): A planned photographic run over a parcel or a site, and the orthomosaic, surface model, contours or point cloud built out of it. - [Volume and stockpile surveys](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/services/volume-and-stockpile-surveys): Repeat flights over quarries, aggregate yards, clamps and fill, measuring the difference between one captured surface and the next. - [Land and estate records](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/services/land-and-estate-records): A dated aerial record of a whole holding, farm, estate or solar site, flown so that this year can be put next to last year and read. ## Key pages - [Exeter, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/exeter): Aerial survey around Exeter: Clyst valley floodplain, the estuary head and the development land east of the city, close to restricted airspace. - [Crediton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/crediton): Aerial survey across the Creedy valley, productive Mid Devon farmland where steep sides and long parcels decide how a flight has to be planned. - [Cullompton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/cullompton): Aerial survey in the Culm valley: flat ground by the motorway, development land and industrial estates among working farms, and fog that sets the start time. - [Tiverton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/tiverton): Aerial survey around Tiverton, from estate parkland and the canal corridor to steep-sided Exe valley farms, in the wettest part of Mid Devon. - [Okehampton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/okehampton): Aerial survey on the northern edge of Dartmoor, where military range days and some of the worst weather in the county decide what can be flown, and when. - [Holsworthy, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/holsworthy): Aerial survey across the Culm Measures plateau of north-west Devon, big farm country where heavy clay makes winter ground access poor and the wind rarely stops. - [South Molton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/south-molton): Aerial survey on the southern approach to Exmoor, livestock country of steep combes and small parcels where stock in the field is part of the flight plan. - [Great Torrington, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/great-torrington): Aerial survey around Torrington, clay working country on a hilltop bluff, with commons, steep wooded slopes and public access all in the same few square miles. - [Barnstaple, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/barnstaple): Aerial survey around the tidal Taw, where the tide decides when intertidal ground can be captured and estuary wind decides whether it happens at all. - [Bideford, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/bideford): Aerial survey on the Torridge, from dune and burrows ground at the estuary mouth to steep bank slopes and working quaysides, all of it in salt air. - [Newton Abbot, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/newton-abbot): Aerial survey in the Bovey basin and the Teign floodplain, clay working country where the water level in a pit decides what can actually be measured. - [Totnes, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/totnes): Aerial survey across the South Hams around Totnes, estate and tenanted farmland on the tidal Dart, where a holding is usually several parcels in several hands. - [Ivybridge, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/ivybridge): Aerial survey on the southern edge of Dartmoor, where wind funnelled down the Erme valley and the line between moor and enclosed land shape every flight. - [Tavistock, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/tavistock): Aerial survey in the Tavy and Tamar valleys, mining country where spoil, shafts and leats make ground far better looked at from above than walked over. - [Ottery St Mary, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/ottery-st-mary): Aerial survey in the Otter valley, sheltered East Devon farmland and historic house grounds, with gliding on the Blackdown ridge to check before flying. - [Seaton, Devon](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/seaton): Aerial survey at the mouth of the Axe: stone country and moving coast, where a vertical face needs a different capture from a field. - [Taunton, Somerset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/taunton): Aerial survey across the Vale of Taunton Deane: big flat parcels and constant development ground, drier than Devon but with vale fog in the mornings. - [Bridgwater, Somerset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/bridgwater): Aerial survey across the Somerset Levels and the tidal Parrett, flat ground cut by rhynes and droves, with unbroken wind and restricted airspace to check first. - [Minehead, Somerset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/minehead): Aerial survey between Exmoor and the Bristol Channel, where North Hill throws downdraughts over the ground below and the moor above has its own weather. - [Yeovil, Somerset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/yeovil): Aerial survey in the hamstone country of south Somerset, the most airspace-constrained ground on this list, with quarrying and big estates between. - [Sherborne, Dorset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/sherborne): Aerial survey in the Yeo valley, designed parkland and hamstone estate country, where low winter sun does more for an earthwork than any amount of processing. - [Dorchester, Dorset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/dorchester): Aerial survey on the Dorset chalk, where buried features show as marks in a dry summer and water meadows read as engineering from above. - [Weymouth, Dorset](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/weymouth): Aerial survey on the Dorset coast, stone quarrying ground and a shingle barrier that moves, with full Channel exposure and busy water beside it. - [Launceston, Cornwall](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/launceston): Aerial survey either side of the Tamar in east Cornwall, high open farmland with big holdings, industrial ground by the trunk road and weather off two moors. - [Liskeard, Cornwall](https://aerial-survey.co.uk/areas/liskeard): Aerial survey between Bodmin Moor and the south Cornish coast, granite and renewables country where turbines and high open ground shape the flight plan. ## What is on the record - Both are checkable, and any land agent or consultant is welcome to ask for them before a flight is booked. - A2 Certificate of Competency: The A2 CofC, which is what governs how close the aircraft may work to people who are not part of the job. No GVC is held, so operations are planned inside the A2 CofC. - Aircraft: A DJI Mavic 4 Pro carrying a 100 megapixel Hasselblad camera and 6K video, and a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced with a 640 by 512 radiometric thermal camera. - Insurance: Insured with Coverdrone for commercial operations.
